Marvin J. Henderson

 

President/Co-Founder

With years of significant experience in the construction industry, Marvin brings a wealth of knowledge to Bayview Environmental Services, Inc. He has successfully estimated and managed hundreds of projects for building owners in both Southern and Northern California. His years of experience installing specialty asbestos products have given him a unique and strong ability for investigating many types of asbestos projects. His reputation throughout the industry is widespread. Prior to Bayview, Mr. Henderson was Vice President of a publicly traded Environmental Company’s Southern California abatement division. Marvin’s responsibilities were Estimating, Sales and Operations Management.

Richard Cleveland

 

Treasurer/Co-Founder

As one of the founding members of Bayview Environmental, Richard has over 35 years’ experience in the demolition and abatement industry. Richard is a graduate of Saint Mary’s College of California with a Master of Business Administration. Richard is also a graduate of California Statue University, Chico with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business/accounting.

He holds a license with the State of California as a certified public accountant. While practicing as a CPA, eighty percent of his client base was represented by construction related companies. In addition, Richard was involved in consulting insurance companies regarding large bonding claims of construction companies.

For eight years, Rick was the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial officer of a publicly traded environmental company. He was responsible for the accounting, finance, insurance and bonding programs.

Austin Viramontes

 

DIRECTOR OF SALES AND ESTIMATING

Austin is a United States Air Force Veteran with 15 years of operations experience derived from a combination of Active Duty Military Service, Civil Service, and Department of Defense / Inter-Agency contracting. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business/Small Business and Entrepreneurship from the University of Phoenix in 2013, and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Emergency Management and Homeland Security through Arizona State University.

Austin is responsible for the development, application and sustainment of best production methods for Sales and Estimating Departments. He is committed to continuous improvement and ensures that all contractual and/or corporate policies and guidelines are followed.

Steve Walraven

 

DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Steve Walraven has been working 25+ Years in The Demolition and Remediation Industry, becoming highly experienced in all types of Commercial, Public, Hospital, and Hospitality type projects, transactions and contract negotiations. Steve’s various projects have ranged from local construction and development opportunities to expansive eight-figure contracts. Hosting a career of contracts and a revenue accumulation exceeding One Billion Dollars, Mr. Walraven has vast experience in Business Development, Estimating, Project Management, Equipment Production & All Parts of Field Operation, as well as Excellent Health & Safety compliance regulations.

Steve Walraven graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor of Science Degree.

Dave Davis

 

Estimator/ Project Manager

With over 30 years experience in hazardous materials abatement, demolition and construction management, Dave brings to Bayview his valuable experience and skills in project estimating, project design and planning. Dave specializes in large scale multi-phase projects and oversees his projects from the bidding process to completion, including; operations, air monitoring control, worker safety, hazardous materials waste profiling, packaging and disposal, as well as compliance with all federal, state and local regulatory standards.

Dave carries the following certifications:

Asbestos 40-hour Competent Person

State of California Department of Public Health Lead Supervisor

NADCA Air System Cleaning Specialist

Martin Ledesma

 

Estimator/Project Manager

Martin has over 20 years of experience in construction industry and brings Bayview his skills in organizing and estimating projects. Martin oversees his projects from the bidding process, to the completion of the project in all aspects, including Operations, Air Monitoring Controls, Workers Safety and Hazardous Waste Disposal.

Martin also has an AHERA Contractor Supervisor Certification per 40 CFR 763 in the Asbestos field, and DHS Contractor Supervisor Lead Certification.

Bryan Davis

 

Estimator/Project Manager

Bryan Davis brings over 5 years of experience beginning with an apprenticeship at Demo Masters working his way to Junior Foreman. Now he is an estimator supplying Bayview with his abilities and experiences in estimating and project management. Bryan Davis’ duties are now creating bid proposals, managing project paper work, directing multiple field activities, and reporting project status to management.

Mr. Davis has a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from California State University of Stanislaus.

Darrell (DJ) Knight

 

Estimator/Project Manager

DJ, with over 5 years of experience, brings to Demo Masters his abilities and experiences in estimating and project management. Joining the company as a laborer DJ has excelled in the demolition field and moved to Foreman and now works as an estimator/project manager. His current duties are creating bid proposals, managing project paperwork, directing multiple field activities and reporting project status to management.

Wayne D. Pelletier

 

Hazardous Materials Services Director

Wayne has over 20 years of environmental services experience in California including project management, estimating, transportation, field services, emergency response, and a variety of other specialized applications.

Wayne is a graduate of Quinnipiac University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Marketing/Management. In addition, Wayne also has certifications in Rail and Bulk Chemicals from the California Specialized Training Institute, Hazardous Materials First Responder, Confined Space Rescue, and Hazardous Materials Characterization and Identification. Wayne is responsible for the estimating, contracting, and project management for jobs involving environmental services.

Daniel Panitz

 

Hazardous Materials Services Project Manager

Daniel has 10 years of experience in business development throughout the southern and west coast United States. In addition, he has also managed logistics for operations and estimated project valuations and cost control measures. He worked in Arizona for five years as a metals trader and demolition contractor on behalf of a multi-national recycling corporation. He was responsible for the safety and mobilization of demolition teams operating in mines and aggregate plants based in the southwest region of the United States. During that time, he was certified in Mine Safety and Health Administration training.

Daniel earned his Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of Memphis and is fluent in the Spanish language. His current duties include Client development, project coordination and cost control actions. He is additionally endorsed as summarized below.

Peter Warren

 

Director of Operations

Served several years as a foreman with the company and directed work on many large projects by organizing projects, directing field staff, maintaining project budgets, schedules, project safety and implementation of all Company standards.

Received asbestos contractor supervisor training and became a certified instructor in many machine certifications (bobcat, scaffolds, grad-all etc.)

He then transitioned into the position of Corporate Safety Manager for several years, completed OSHA trainings, directing all company employees to meet Cal-OSHA and Bay Area Air Quality standards on all projects.

Currently serving as Corporate Operations Manager, directing project schedules, organizing labor, assisting all superintendents with project challenges. Peter received his Bachelors’ Degree in Communications from California State University of Chico in 2005.

Shane Pickett

 

Northern California Operations Manager

With over 20 years of experience in all aspects of the construction industry, Shane Pickett has spent the last 8 years working solely in the environmental industry with a focus on environmental remediation, hazardous materials mitigation, waste management and disposal. In that time, he has completed multiple large scale, highly hazardous, facility closures throughout the metal plating, semiconductor and chemical manufacturing industries.

Before joining BVDMI in 2017, Mr. Pickett last served as Northern California District Operation Manager for a Fortune 200 company. He brings with him invaluable expertise in the areas of environmental regulations,  project management, environmental health and safety, transportation and logistics.

Mr. Pickett has a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Biology from Northern Arizona University.

Dave Van En

 

Southern California Operations Manager

Dave is responsible for directing large project schedules, training of Foremen and Superintendents, project inspections and assisting project Superintendents with challenging jobs. He is committed to the continuous development of the staff and company capabilities.

Dave is a Veteran of US Air Force (2002-2007) and the US Army (2007-2012). He also worked as a security consultant for over a decade to numerous government departments, agencies, and private organizations with personnel who operate in high threat environments.

Dave received his Bachelor’s in Journalism and Political Science from Arizona State University in 2015.

Daniel Ledesma

 

General Superintendent

With over twenty years of experience in construction industry as a Foreman/
Superintendent, Daniel brings Bayview Environmental Services his skills in organizing projects, directing field staff, maintaining project budgets, schedules, project safety and enforcement of all Company standards. Daniel oversees the completion of the project in all aspects, including air monitoring controls, Workers Safety, Hazardous Waste Disposal,
and compliance with all Federal, State and Local regulations.

Daniel also has an AHERA Contractor Supervisor Certification per 40 CFR 763 in the Asbestos field, DHS Contractor Supervisor Lead Certification, and HAZWOPER Certified.

John Trenev

 

Director of Safety

John helps to provide Bayview oversight of work practices, procedures, and policies as they pertain to safety. He ensures all company policies are well documented and in full compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

John also routinely provides training to company supervisors and workers through structured sessions and ongoing mentoring while evaluating the effectiveness of safety policies through routine project site visits, making recommendations for change as needed to senior management, and implementing changes as necessary.

With an emphasis on the core value of “Safety First”, John conducts investigations of any accidents, injuries, or near misses and provides reports detailing the root causes and lessons learned. By evaluating high-risk projects and activities prior to commencement and aiding in developing safe, efficient work plans to ensure company success, John actively supports the operations staff in the field with challenges as they arise.

John McCarthy

John McCarthy

Director of Safety

John is a United States Air Force Veteran with 16 years of operations and risk management experience in the national security and defense industries.  John helps to provide the company with oversight of work practices, procedures, and policies as they pertain to safety. Kayla Henderson

 

Estimator’s Assistant

Kayla Henderson has been with the company for over seven years. During this time Kayla, has obtained significant experience with Contract Administration, Insurance Certificates and Project Documentation. Kayla provides support and assistance to the Company’s Estimating staff and is responsible for completing and maintaining the Company’s Pre-qualification forms, tracking Change Orders, pricing Work Orders, and reviewing Job Packets.
